Dainichi Cichlid XL Pro 100g - 1mm Sinking

XL PRO is a robust formula intended for a wide variety of carnivorous and omnivorous cichlids.

Highly enriched with 100% pure cultured spirulina, krill, and montmorillonite clay, this formula contains all natural minerals and nutrients designed to provide a well balanced diet to maintain an excellent state of overall health and beauty of your cichlids.

The abundance of white fish meal and Antarctic krill is essential to satisfying the dietary needs of robust cichlids of all types.

As in all Dainichi foods, there is calcium montmorillonite clay to simulate the natural ingestion of mineral particles and to bind and neutralize metabolic toxins.

Furthermore, the scouring action of the clay enhances the rejuvenation of the digestive tract which when combined with only two sources of starch (flour as binder and wheat germ as a natural source of vitamin E and B) ensures the maximum rate of digestion and assimilation of nutrients.

White fish meal, wheat germ, wheat flour, krill, spirulina, soybean meal, brewer’s yeast, calcium montmorillonite clay, powdered milk, vitamin mix, mineral mix, garlic, protease and natural gum.

Feed your fish only as much as they will eat (immediately) in a few minutes, 2 to 4 times daily. Smaller, more frequent feeding are preferred over a single large one.

Do not pre-soak the food prior use! Pre-soaking washes out vitamins, color enhancers, other nutrients, and lowers the performance of the food.

All Dainichi foods have a low inclusion of starches to prevent excessive swelling in the digestive tract. Pre-soaking of Dainichi cichlid food is absolutely not required nor beneficial!

The high protein nature of this formula (44 %) is extremely well suited to robust cichlids such as this male Aul. 'maleri'.

White fish meal and krill are essential in providing the optimum size and correct body shape.

Fed a low protein diet, with perhaps 34-35% protein content, this type of fish would likely develop a big head, oversize eye and a smaller, rounder body - certainly nothing reminiscent of a wild represent- native of this species. Using a higher protein, low starch diet such as this is definitely the way to go.

These young frontosas simply thrive on this krill and white fish meal formula. The rich, marine protein base of XL PRO, assures that male's nuchial hump will achieve its full size.

XL PRO is a surprisingly powerful color enhancing food. Although it is not encapsulated with extra pigment enhancing ingredients like the other five Dainichi cichlid formulas, this food is never the less more than adequate to keep even subordinate males in top color.

As can be seen above, the less dominant fish are still in as good a condition as the dominant male. Each of the primary colors (yellow, red and blue) is expressed very strongly and without the red bias associated with our FX formulas. We could not be more pleased with how this formula turned out.
